Day 3

After breakfast we will drive to Izu Penisula, which is a resort area popular for its hot springs, beautiful coastlines, beaches, mild climate and scenic mountainous interior. It is also treated as the "back garden" for local people in the big Tokyo area to relax for weekends and holidays, especially during the Spring (cherry blossom) and Summer seasons.

The Atami Plum Garden is a beautiful garden featuring 450 Japanese Ume plum trees, some of which are over 100 years old. In January through March every year, a plum festival is held in the garden, attracting thousands of visitors every day. Given the mild weather of the Izu Penisula, the garden is also a perfect spot in all seasons for tourists to enjoy a relaxing lunch of local specialty food.

For lunch, we will enjoy wagyu BBQ (Yakiniku) at a local restaurant that features premium wagyu raised in Japan.

After lunch, we continue to drive along the coast line of Izu Penisula towards Kawazu, where the early Kawazu cherry blossoms are happening in February to March.

Along the coast, we will stop by a few small towns and enjoy afternoon coffee, the typical experience endorsed by local Japanese vacationers.

The whole Izu Peninsula is populated by high-quality hot springs. You will stay at our selected onsen ryokan with authentic dinner and breakfast.

Day 4

If we are in the right season of February to March, we will visit the Kawazu cherry blossom. The popular event Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival attracts two million visitors every year. Thousands of Kawazu cherry trees together with hundreds of festival stalls line along the river bank.

Even outside of the Kawazu cherry blossom season, there are still plenty of sightseeing spots along the coast of Izu Peninsula, such as ocean port sightseeing boating, volcano climbing chairlifts, etc. You will be amazed by the splendid view.

Towards the evening, we will make our way to Hakone, the active volcano spot close to Mount Fuji, with optional dropping by the Gotemba shopping outlet. We will spend the next two days in Hakone.

Day 5

Click the link to see the same itinerary of Day 1 of our Fuji Mountain Hakone Volcano Onsen Express Tour. Overnight at a curated onsen hotel in Hakone.

Day 6

In the morning, we will drive to Kamakura, a small town in Kanagawa Prefecture famous for its Buddhism, history, Enoshima Island, and romantic coastal train line (Enoden) inspired by the widely loved basketball anime Slam Dunk.

Historical Town

The best way to experience the rich contents of Kamakura is by foot and the Enoden train. We will guide you a walk in the historical town area covering temples, shrines and great Buddha.

Slam Dunk IG Spot

After lunch at the local restaurant, we will drop you on the exact location of the IG spot of Slam Dunk.

Coastal Train Line (Enoden)

Taking a ride of the Enoden and drop by a few stations along the coastal line is a unique experience. You will be amazed by how the train goes through town houses and side by side with pedestrians and cars.

Romantic Enoshima

Enoshima is an island connected to the coast of Kamakura through a single bridge. The island offers a variety of attractions, including a shrine, park, observation tower and caves.

The sunset of Enoshima is not to be missed. Whether you travel with your love or not, you will enjoy the same romantic feeling watching the golden sunset at the beach of Enoshima.

The tour ends with the golden sunset as well as warm memories of all the spots, food and experiences. We will drive you back to Tokyo city.
